Torrent has receded

Pic: Cleaning the compounding area
As I have mentioned earlier that we were planned to go to my hubby hometown in southern part of Peninsular of Malaysia on Chinese New Year holiday (February 3 - 6, 2011). Since the entry (click here) had been posted in this blog, we will always keep contacting my mother in law (MIL). Almost every day, we'll try to get the flood update that has been hit over the kampong.

If the situation turned to deteriorating, we planned to switch our holiday to the northern part of Malaysia, such as Perak or Penang.

Otherwise, if the situation has become improve, we will return to kampong and shall lend our hand to help MIL to clean the aftermath mess.

In the eve of Chinese New Year, we heard another news. The flood condition has improved. The inundating water has receded. Most of shelter houses in Kluang were closed.

The latest news has brought us relief especially my hubby. He really pleased. Yes obviously, he is the one who was the most delightful when his plan will be realized in due cause.

This time, besides fishing, he said he want to try netting the fishes!

About 10.00 am, February 3, we were departed from KL to Johor and arrived in evening (5.00pm). Seven hours on the road is such an abnormal time ever recorded with the distance about 300-350km travel in highway! My hubby has driven the car in slow motion and ease. On top of the slight jammed in KL-Seremban highway, he said no need to rush and lets everything ‘intact’ first at back home … hmm?

So on the very next morning, the real mission has begun with awaited alongside the brooms, buckets, brush, soaps, detergents and cloths. Yeah, the first thing that we need to do is to clean all the muds and mess. (Err, which is it actually had been done at first by MIL a day before our arrival.*hehehe.)

Most of the compounding areas have been cleaned by BSIL (brother & sister in Law).

Well, there have not much left since MIL had done most of the jobs on yesterday. Just touch over there and here a bit, one or two spot just enough….. fuhhhh, hehehe * gasping another relief.

After the chores have been completed, I joined my hubby to observe the way kampong folks catching fish in flooding area. It such wonderful, kind of fiesta and I really enjoy it.

We spent all our holidays back in kampong. February 6 (Sunday), on way back to KL, we have to consider lucky enough as do not stuck in traffic jammed in longer period. Only a few of minor accident had taken place in PLUS highway, it has not hampering much our journey to home though! We have arrived safe and sound at 10.30pm.

*For record; on the same day, a lot of my friends have been trapped in huge traffic congestion, especially for those who were come from northern part of Malaysia.
