Flooding with love ... May God will always protect us!

We were planned to go to my hubby's hometown for Chinese New Year holiday. My hubby was suggested that we should have a family picnic at Sg. Madik or Sg. Temigol Village Recreation Park which is near by his kampung.

He told me that we will fishing a lot of fresh water fishes and lobsters (udang galah) for our snack and dinner. I could not resist myself when I heard the word of udang galah... So I agreed to join him fishing next to river side and we will set-up a base camp site.

Pic: Ocean is not always ease... (@Port Dickson)

But yesterday I heard downpour have never stop for couples of days in Johor. The river water was at the point of approaching to exceeding and broken its bank. Thus made the local authority at alarm level. And it meant the torrent is just at the conner, everybody need to pay attention and ready to evacuate if necessary.

Several districts and kampungs in Johor are already flooded. And few roads to Kota Tinggi have been closed on  last night.

In fact, all the way from Kluang to hubby's hometown, several stretches are also inundating with water but still be able to access by light vehicle.

I pray to God All The Mighty, lets my family in law back in kampung would be in safe and they do not have to encounter the catastrophe & bad experience again.

For record, the worst flood ever hit Johor was back year 2007. This catastrophic had cause 2/3 of Johor submerge.

First Night

This year my eldest son will be turned to 7 years-old. And the second son will be 5 years-old. As matter of facts we are already prepared a bedroom for them.

Picture 1 : Daniel Hakim the second son

But, only last week they slept in their own bedroom. That was the first trials.

At earlier we were sleeping in a cramped of master bedroom's bed. We have never being slept apart. We were staying tight together.

A week before we were cleaning the room. I told them that they must prepare themselves to be a man. So to be a truly man, ones should have to sleep in their own room separately from the parent. They must get ready to stand by their own feet and be braved.

Picture 2: Nasrul Hakim the eldest

I tried to entice them by replacing the bed sheet with the new one.  I let them pick their own bed sheet and comforter at shopping mall. As per usual, boys will pick their own animation superhero character!

On that night all my children went to sleep early around 9.00 o’clock. My hubby was carrying them and put on respectively bed. He put them steady and slowly. We tucked them properly and we gave them our love kisses. We saw on our naked eyes they were soundness sleep. We happy and engrave a big smile along on our faces.

I thought this is the beginning of our children turning point. But at 3.00 am my second son woke up and looks for me. He left behind his elder brother. After an hour, the elder son knocks my bedroom's door and came to me. Then he lay down next to me.

The following night none of my children wish to sleep alone. They want to sleep with us in tight & together… huhuhu

So guys, would you mind to share with me how to handle this case… any tips?

It was last year!

It is still clear in my memory box. It was noon back a year ago. I was back ridden on Pusrawi Hospital bed waiting in operation theater for labouring my youngest son.

Dr. Zarina was assisted by a nurse. They were busy preparing the surgery tools.

Next to me was my hubby. He was trying to calm and comforting me. The pain started come and go in frequently. I can’t stand any longer. Thus indicate the time has come closer.

Actually my hubby has never accompanied me in labour room for our last two sons. This is his first time sat next to me.  It is doesn’t meant my hubby was not willing to accompany his wife till the end of labouring process, but in those days the hospital policy simply don’t allow the hubby comes along in labour room especially in government hospital.

In my second son case (Pusrawi Hospital – a private hospital), if my hubby wants to stand next to his wife, we have to pay extra charge which we were not ready at that time.

Besides, my hubby has blood sick; unable to take a look or smell on a large amount of blood. He will pass out.

Only this time my hubby has opportunity to see in live his wife labouring his beloved baby.

Thanks to Dr. Zarina actually. Even though my hubby had reminded her that we not chose the package that allow hubby stand together with wife and he has blood sick, Dr. Zarina keep insisting him to stay together.

She says, “Don’t worry about the fees. I will tell my nurse to not charge you for this one. You just listen to my advice. Don’t look down. Keep consoling your wife and keep ‘zikir’. Trust me, you not gonna pass out!”

She asked the nurse to lock the door, so my hubby unable to leave the room. And she encourages him to recite Al-Quran (suratul Ballad, Mariam, Al Ikhlas and so forth) next to my ears. Continuous reciting until the labouring time has come.

Finally, my hubby has lost his words and agreed with Dr. Zarina suggestion. Now he witnesses me in confronting all the pain on the bed. Not alone anymore…

Alhamdullilah, by hubby standing around and giving support all the time, it’s really helping me in enduring all the pains. The whole process had have become easy and under controlled. I have laboured my son in normal process and do not facing a lot of problems.

Today, my youngest baby is celebrating his first year birthday (on 10.01.2011). I glad to have you, my son.  I pray for your goodness and may God bless you all the time. May you grow up as a Sholehin.

Ambition

Last week my elder son told me that his class teacher ask him about his ambition. So he told the teacher he want to become a policeman.

When I was in primary school (Standard One) the same query had been addressed to me. During that time I don’t have any idea what I want to be.

The teacher keep insisting and he said he have to record it. He also convinced me it is essential to have an ambition.

He says, “A person without ambition is most likely a death person. They would not success in their life and the after life too. This kind of person when they are grown-up they would become a thug, criminal and spend most of the time behind bars!”

“Ambition is the most things that you wanted to be when you’re grown-up. And it is the job that you most wanted to do,” the teacher explains further before the class.

I was scared to death. Right the way, I begin to think what would I be when I was young. I pushed my ‘intelligent limit to the end’ and work hard to imagine, especially when I heard the ‘death’ word from teacher's mouth. My head begun spinning around, try to seek the answer!

The teacher started calling our name, one by one. Everybody has to mention their ambition in the class. Most of pupil in my class said they want to become a policeman, fireman, armed forces, lawyer and doctor.

Before my turn has come up, I took the opportunity to write down my ambition in a piece of paper. After I was cracking down so hard, only one ambition that I could think of.

“Aida. … Aida … Aida! It’s your turn now!” teacher exclaimed. I was preoccupied and absorbed with my writing and imagination.

Realized my name had been called, I immediately jumped from my chair and start to read my ambition out laud. All student in the class paid attention, ready to hear what will be my ambition.

I looked around and they were waiting patiently.

“I want to be a Wonder Woman sir!” I say it in full of confident. No hesitate at all.

Just few seconds ago before I stood, the class was silence. Quite! If the bees come across everybody can hear its flapping wings.

Now the class becomes bizarre. Blast everywhere… kind of thunder storm. Kabam boommm! The noise has broken up!

In fact I saw the teacher wipe out his tears. People start breaking laughing out laud. Some others keep knocking his table and rolling on the floor.

I just keep smiling in puzzle. I simply don’t understand! I wonder what was exactly happened.

Few seconds before my name has called, the only thing pop-up in my head was superman, batman, Captain America, Bug Rogers. But those jobs were designated for male, not for female! I have to keep it aside;  they  are not feminine at all.

The only superwomen series seen in the TV was Super Grandma! But I guessed it is not suitable to me too because I too young to be a Super Grandma. Beside that I think a senior citizen should be relaxed and rest all the days despite of doing jobs to stop all the criminals. Second reason is I dislike plugging myself into the electric socket to charge my energy while at night or just to feel fresh!

The only superwomen series that I might think of and quite fit to me was Wonder Woman. In fact, those days there have very little superwomen series showing in the Malaysian TV!

After the class has returned to ease, under control, and back to normal, the teacher begin explains to me what exactly the ambition in the real world is.

(Picture: Wonder Woman was well known TV series back in 1970 - 1980s. Credit to wikipedia)

So again, I was in blank. I just picked up blindly which were a policeman, firemen, and armed forces. And it have been keep up in circle for next eight years later; intact as my written ambition ... *hahaha..
Today, I have not even become part of those three choices of ambitions. Now, I am serving in education sector.

When a baby sick! (*Gasping)

When our baby got sick, everything has to put in halt.

It have been three days my younger son had fever. To make worse, while he taking medicine (in form of syrup), he was vomited it back and unable to consume. We have decided, this is not right and need to see a specialist. Last mid night we were rushed to clinic for second time due to the body temperature had climbed up drastically.

According to the physician, we are lucky enough had taken the baby to see him early. So the high temperature and the fever can be well managed.

On top of that, the doctor also remind us that we need to react fast to consult the pediatrician once we found our baby got high fever especially alike this case.

Today I feel relief a bit when I find my boy has gradually improved. While awaiting him to be back normal, I need to nursing him at full time. That's meant I have to put aside my study and home chores for temporary.

Thanks to my mum & dad for the kindness and willingness to help us! *cheer hehehe

Apple

A for apple.. hahaha

People have recognized apple as a fruit that good to consume for diet and better health. The chemicals compound of apple are consisting carbohydrate, vitamin C, sugar, H20, protein and so forth. So, eating that fruit by itself only, ones can survive even though there have no existence of water or any source of food for a couple of days.

Today, apple is not for eating only. We use apple for fragrance, cosmetic substance, juice, beverage, pastry and health products.

Some people said the apple vinegar can help us to cure the gout problem! What we need to do is just consume it in two table spoons every morning before breakfast. Hmm?!...

Apple also become a computer brand name and an organization name ... McIntosh Apple Computer. hehehhe

Anyway, I snapped this apple picture on last year in a tent, while having picnic at Sungai Congkak, Ulu Langat, Selangor, Malaysia. I used only natural light with 50mm, f: 1.8 lens.

As per usually, any comment is welcome... hehehe
